in spanishMauricio Tarrab pone el énfasis en el "para" del título del congreso preguntándose qué es lo que el psicoanálisis tiene para ofrecer actualmente. Considerando que ya no tenemos, como en la época de Freud, ni la confianza en el inconsciente y en la verdad, ni la confianza en la eficacia terapéutica y explicativa del Edipo, Mauricio evoca el sinthome como aquello que el psicoanálisis podría ofrecer hoy en día. Por último, propone una cierta modulación de lo real para evitar que se lo idealice.

Mauricio Tarrab puts the accent on the word « for » in the Congress title and asks what psychoanalysis has to offer actually. If we consider that already we no longer have either the confidence in the unconscious and in truth, or the confidence in the therapeutic and explicative efficiency of the Oedipus myth as in Freud's time, Mauricio Tarrab evokes the sinthome as what psychoanalysis could offer today. And finally, he proposes a certain modulation of the real to avoid idealizing it.
