Broken Book
The Path of the Father or the Path of Desire
Florencia Fernandez Coria Shanahan

She plays. She explores. She laughs. She wanders. She insists.
She utters. She checks. She touches. She smiles. She repeats.

There is no knowledge in the real, but there may be some about it.
Between immutable and unexpected, impossibility flirts with contingency to treat what there is not.
The hole becomes a lack. Already a way of making-do with what does not exist.
Desire, always the Other's, is its remainder.
That jouissance cannot be eliminated from this operation is demonstrated by the senseless iteration of the mark commemorating it.

Can we not see how vital, how essential, how reassuring, how freeing and exciting it is that it does not work?
