Interview by Patricio Alvarez
Alejandro Maci, filmmaker, theater director and scriptwriter, defines his practice as a construction of scenes. He wonders why he has devoted himself to this and indicates that building them may be his way of getting them back. In taking part in, writing and directing them, he positions himself in relation with the scenes of his life.
He examines the elements of the real that he calls « resistance horizon », that he encounters in his practice as director and scriptwriter and uses his own analysis to light the way. These impossibles function as an edge, but at the same time, cause the construction of the scenes.
